What specifically does the sandbox do? - DavDev01 - 09-20-2025 Hello, yesterday I ran a suspicious program in the GetOverXShield Sandbox. During the test, I noticed it tried to connect to the Internet and opened strange windows. My question is: does the Sandbox really prevent the file from infecting my system? Do I need to delete anything afterward, or is everything cleaned up automatically? RE: What specifically does the sandbox do? - mrwebfeeder - 09-20-2025 Thank you for your question and for using the GetOverXShield Sandbox. When you run a file inside the Sandbox, it is executed in an isolated environment. This means that any actions the program tries to perform (such as creating files, modifying registry entries, or connecting to the Internet) are restricted to the Sandbox environment and cannot directly affect your operating system. Once you close the Sandbox, all the temporary files and activities generated by the suspicious program are discarded automatically. You don’t need to manually delete anything — the environment resets itself each time you start it. However, if you suspect that the file is truly malicious, we recommend the following steps: Do not run the file again outside of the Sandbox. Perform a full Antivirus scan with GetOverXShield to ensure your system is clean. If needed, report the suspicious file to our support team for further analysis. So in summary: yes, the Sandbox prevents the file from infecting your system, and everything is cleaned up automatically after closing it. |
