How should I use USB Scan to protect against infected flash drives?
#1
Hello,
I often receive USB drives from clients and I’m worried about malware. How should I use the USB Scan tool in GetOverX Shield to minimize the risk of infecting my PC?  Angel Angel

The antivirus automatically scans if your memory has viruses, be careful if you have patches in the memory, it deletes them kmspico and all that

Hello!
Good practice with USB drives is critical. Here is a recommended workflow with USB Scan:
  1. Connect the USB drive but do not open it in File Explorer yet.
  2. Open GetOverX Shield and go to the Tools section.
  3. Choose USB Scan and select the removable drive you just plugged in.
  4. Let the scan finish and review any detections (clean, quarantine, delete).
  5. Only after a clean result should you open the drive normally.
This way, GetOverX Shield checks the content before you interact with potentially malicious files (like
Code:
autorun.inf
or infected installers).
