What are Server, Port and Token in Corporate Settings?
#1
Thumbs Up
Hello,
In the Configuration section I see fields for “Server”, “Port” and “Token” under Corporate Settings. What are these values used for and what happens if I leave them empty?

Hello!
Those fields are part of the Corporate Settings and are used to connect your endpoint to a central security panel or management server:
  • Server:
    • The hostname or IP address of your central management server.
  • Port:
    • The network port used by the management service. This must match the port where your management backend is listening.
  • Token:
    • A security token/key that authenticates the endpoint to the management server (similar to an API key).
If you leave them empty, GetOverX Shield will continue working in standalone mode:
  • Local protection (Antivirus, Firewall, HIPS, Sandbox, EDR, Tools) still works normally.
  • The endpoint simply won’t report events or receive policies from a central console.
For corporate deployments, you should coordinate with your IT administrator to fill these fields with the values provided by your GetOverX management server.
